Modifications include: Aftermarket H-pipe, catalytic delete, Pioneer Bluetooth stereo and Hurst shifter. The car spent much of its life in Florida before being acquired by us. This SVT Cobra is offered with its original SVT Certificate of Authenticity, original window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, no accidents, and a clean Iowa title. The Manufacturer made the SVT Cobra stand out with a revised rear spoiler, unique badging, and model-specific bumper covers that differentiated it from the contemporary Mustang GT. This example is finished in it original color of Teal Metallic Clearcoat (RD) and features a sunroof, fog lamps, and dual polished exhaust outlets. Note delaminated paint on both sail panels (area between door windows & rear window) spiderweb cracks to the lower rocker molding in front of rear wheels and driver's rear bumper corner, also light checking with some light scuffs on the roof (these defects outlined in photos). Restored original style Directional 17” cast aluminum wheels are wrapped in 245/45 HTR A/S P02 Tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes and SVT-specific suspension components including custom-valved Tokico shocks and struts along with unique springs and sway bars. The cabin houses articulated sports seats and a 50/50 split-folding rear seat trimmed in Opal Grey leather that looks in nearly new condition. The front seats feature power-adjustable lumbar supports. Additional appointments include a Pioneer Bluetooth stereo and a Hurst shifter (original shifter included). The optional Preferred Equipment Package added air conditioning along with power windows, mirrors, and door locks. The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, battery voltage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 10,648 miles, and appears to have rolled over in 2013. The car presents so nicely due to its restoration which we believe was performed around that time. The 302ci OHV V8 features a Cobra-specific upper intake manifold and camshaft as well as a 65mm throttle body, GT40 cast-iron cylinder heads, and aluminum roller rockers. Factory-rated output was at 235 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a Traction-Lok rear differential. The exhaust system features an aftermarket H-pipe. The Ford Special Vehicle Team Certificate of Authenticity identifies this car as #4,637 of 4,993 examples built and shows a production date of June 17th, 1993. Manufacturers’ literature is included in the sale.
